The Fitness Center is proud to introduce a new type of class to its repertoire: Insanity! Insanity is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) class that tones and strengthens the whole body. It focuses on key muscle groups while simultaneously builds up your stamina and cardio. We do repetitions of four different exercises three times through, making up one section. There are three different sections we go through, including a workout and cool down/stretch. Ab workouts are also included to keep your core and balance tight and toned. But don't be intimidated by the name! Insanity is for every level and everyone. It will leave you feeling empowered and capable; you will be able to really see yourself improve even after the first two classes! The workouts will target specific areas of the body and will be switched out every two weeks or so. Hope you are ready to get insane!
With a mix of pilates, yoga, and ballet technique, Barre focuses on the strengthening of your lower body and core. Rather than dancing, this exercised based class includes repetitive sequences and balance techniques found in the training of a dancer. With only a yoga mat and water needed, get ready to sweat and tone your booty in this energetic class setting.
As a good introduction to Yoga, Yogafit combines balance, flexibility, and resistance in a more fitness-based format. Beginners can challenge themselves and work their way further into the practice of Yoga with the basis of poses and techniques. Yoga mat required.
An all-levels yoga class that is appropriate for everyone from the beginner to the most advanced student. Classes will start out with a short centering to help clear your mind, then move into a flow that will stretch and strengthen your body, and will end with a relaxing savasana. Options are offered throughout class so that everyone is comfortable in the poses, so there's no reason to be afraid to try it out!
An all-levels class, Sarah's yoga is a sustainable style of vinyasa (movement-based) yoga that emphasizes strength, alignment, and balance. A typical class begins with core strengthening and floor work to safely warm the body, followed by several sequences of fluid movement. These sequences are then 'streamed' together with the option to add more advanced pose variations. The Sarah offers modifications to accommodate all abilities and incorporates hands-on adjustments for proper alignment.
Yogi Play Time
This is just an extension of the yoga class that is offered as free time in which people can practice poses of their choice,with the assistance of the yoga instructor.
Kickboxing is a great way to get your heart rate up and sweat out some stress. Each class we'll work on a routine, gradually building up our repertoire of moves. We'll cover everything from the simple hook to more complicated moves like hitch-kicks and combos. This class is a "go at your own pace" so, beginners or advanced kickers are welcome. Tone that core with Ab Blast. Although six-packs are not guaranteed, we'll work on improving balance and core strength to help out with all your exercise endeavors. All are welcome.

Pump up the Pulse is an interval training class that targets the whole body! This class includes everything from high-intensity interval training and tabatas to weight weeks, and yes, we may even play some workout games! Zumba is a fun way to workout and show off your moves. A dynamic movement based class, zumba combines fitness with dance to tone areas and get your heart rate going. Zumba is a total body workout and will leave you sweating and smiling. The best part? You don't even have to be a dancer or trained in dance to try it out! Zumba is a program for everyone and gives you a chance to add your own spice and flavor to your workout without even feeling like you are working out. Try it out; the gym is your dance floor!
Mix together a few modern hip-hop moves, some Bollywood flavor and relentlessly high-octane music and the result: one seriously fun, off-the-chain cardio workout. Trust us — it’s hard not to smile when you’re bouncing around. Bollywood became known as a dance form from Bollywood movies, which often include huge musical numbers featuring a whole troupe of dancers. Thanks to major television shows like So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars and America’s Got Talent, among others, the genre has become more widely known in the United States, too. Today’s Bollywood is influenced by western culture, so you’ll notice not only some English lyrics, but also moves from hip-hop and music videos mixed in. It seems like a lot of coordination, but we promise that anyone can learn these movements. And a perk is that Indian dancing works parts of your legs, shoulders and back that you may not normally engage, and the mix of Hindi hits will help you keep your energy up until the end. Aside from an extreme aerobic workout, you’ll leave with all the basics you need to fit right in at your next Indian wedding or holiday. So, if Hindi music makes you want to move or you’ve daydreamed of dancing in a huge Bollywood number, now’s your chance!"
Boot Camp is a high cardio class focused on getting results. Each class will focus on whole body fitness working on cardio and strength; light weights and your own body weight will be used to tone your muscles. Various exercises involving different parts of the body are used to get your pulse up and increase your cardio. Boot Camp aims to bring out the best in you and have your challenge yourself. So grab your workout clothes and a water bottle and be ready to challenge yourself to a high energy workout.
A high-energetic workout, spin will have you learn about pace, cadence, and resistance. Catered to all levels, spin involves the use of cycling machines that focus on working different parts of your body to tone and build muscle, all the while giving you a cardio burst. Set to the tune of funky and popular songs, spin will have you rocking and bopping from the start!
